Rick & Eunice Cox Bio

In November 2001 Rick and Eunice Cox were appointed as career missionaries to Africa where they had served one year as GO-Net volunteers. In 2003 they returned to Africa as career missionaries, working with the JESUS film ministry. When they return for their second term of service, their primary responsibility will be that of Southern Africa regional director. They will also be responsible to organize and oversee work teams coming to Southern Africa.

At the age of 13, Rick's heart was convicted of sin through the preaching of his church, and he prayed to receive Jesus as his personal Savior. He received his call to preach when he was 15. In 1986 Rick graduated from God's Bible School and College with a BRE degree and began pastoring. He pastored for 14 years. During this time, his family had dreamed of taking a short-term mission trip. In 1999 he experienced a very clear call to resign his church and to do a year of missionary service. It was during this year of service that the Lord led his family into full-time missionary service.

Eunice (Croft) is the daughter of John and Naomi Croft, former missionaries to Suriname and Grand Cayman. She gave her heart to the Lord at a young age, and in her teens she recommitted her life to Him. She has always desired to serve the Lord, and her call has been to full-time Christian ministry. Eunice graduated from God's Bible School and College with a B.A. degree. While in the pastorate with her husband, she worked with children's and women's ministries.

Rick and Eunice "see a ripe harvest and are excited to be a part of it." They will be working to help develop stronger local churches through new converts and discipled believers. They will also assist in educating and equipping pastors along with the development and distribution of printed materials for local church ministries. Rick and Eunice have a burden for the African pastors and their families, and they would like to develop a plan to encourage and support them. Rick and Eunice have three sons: Richard ('85), Timothy ('88), and Trevor ('92).

"Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go" (Joshua 1:9).
